«Zivilstand Musiker» – a scenic musical program about the life and work of Irma and Alexander Schaichet. It is a story about the fateful path of violinist Alexander Schaichet, who was led from Russia via Germany to Zurich. There he met Hungarian pianist Irma Löwinger and would go on to found the first Chamber Orchestra in Switzerland in 1920. The two highly talented personalities shaped musical culture in Zurich and were able to celebrate many successes despite difficult circumstances. The Schaichet couple worked both as soloists and teachers. They were committed throughout their lives to contemporary classical music, Swiss composers, and young musicians. Charity and the promotion of Jewish culture were also of great importance to them.

Conceptualized by Martin Kreutzberg, Irene Forster, Andrea Wiesli.
