The Basel Chamber Orchestra, founded in 2013, dedicates two concerts to the 100th anniversary of Switzerland's first Chamber Orchestra, which was founded in 1920 by violinist and violist Alexander Schaichet. The Chamber Orchestra Zurich performed regularly until 1943.
